Traditional Tiger Canva Painting

This tiger turns its head slightly to one side, its mouth half open to show its teeth, and its fur is built from fine, close strokes. The yellow-green eyes, the pink nose and the long white whiskers stand out against a misty gray-brown ground, and the fur of the chest fades into soft white and black bands.

In the manner of a brush painting

The picture follows the style of East Asian brush painting: no landscape, only the animal, with every hair drawn as a separate line. A short column of calligraphy and a small red seal sit on the left of the face, as they would on a hanging scroll. In that tradition the tiger has long been painted as a guardian figure, and our article on the place of the tiger in art follows the big cat through many cultures. Other portraits and scenes wait in our tiger canvas collection.
