Japanese Tiger Jacket Yokosuka™

A white tiger prowls down the back of this jacket, embroidered in grey and white thread with its mouth open in a red snarl and bamboo stalks crossing behind it. Beside it, a red phoenix spreads its feathers over the other shoulder. The front carries the two other creatures: a blue dragon with pink cherry blossoms on one side and a tortoise on the other, its long pale tails sweeping down the chest.

The four guardians of East Asian tradition

The tiger, the phoenix, the dragon and the tortoise are the four guardian beasts of the directions in Chinese and Japanese tradition, the white tiger standing for the west. Here they are stitched on black satin with gold satin sleeves, where more dragons coil among the blossoms. The cut is a baseball style bomber with a zip front, two side pockets and ribbed collar, cuffs and hem trimmed with gold stripes, in the spirit of the embroidered souvenir jackets linked with Yokosuka. Materials and sizes

The jacket is made of nylon, polyester and cotton, with a satin lining, and it is cut to break the wind. Sizes run from S to XXL; the apparel size chart lists the measurements of each size.
