Baby Tiger Painting

A small cub with round blue eyes looks straight out of this watercolor-style print, pink-lined ears raised and a faint smile under its nose. Its fluffy orange coat is brushed with loose black stripes and a white bib, and a spray of green leaves and pale eucalyptus fills the bottom of the picture on a plain white background.

A soft portrait for a nursery

The light colors, the empty white space and the gentle face make this print a natural fit for a nursery or a child's bedroom, where it hangs well alone or in a row with other animal prints. The brushwork stays loose around the fur and sharp around the eyes, so the cub holds the attention without looking fierce. Our article on the place of the tiger in art follows how painters have pictured the big cat, and more prints wait in our tiger canvas collection.
