Cast in relief on a brass-tone buckle, a tiger head roars out from this belt, with deep-set eyes, a wrinkled muzzle and an open mouth showing its fangs. It is framed by a round border of Greek key pattern, and two scaled, flame-edged bodies curl up either side of the rectangle. The finish is antiqued, with the darker background bringing the relief forward.
A sliding buckle with no holes
The buckle closes with a sliding mechanism, so the strap has no holes punched along it. The strap slips into the back of the buckle and holds at the chosen length, and a small lever on the edge of the buckle releases it. The strap can also be shortened, and the buckle comes off for that. In the photos the strap is black with a deep pebbled grain. Other buckles and straps are in our tiger belt collection.
Sizes and materials
The buckle is zinc alloy and measures 4cm x 6.5cm. The strap is 3.8cm wide. Five waist sizes are offered: 38-39, 40-41, 42-43, 44-45 and 46-47.
