Bloody Emperor Tiger Cushion Cover

A white tiger with turquoise eyes stares out from this cushion cover, its face drawn in black stripes and dotted patterns and traced with bright red lines. On the right of the design a large red flower opens, and red drops fall from the petals and from the edge of the coat, which gives the design its dark, bloody mood. The whole scene sits on a sandy beige ground with a visible woven texture.

The artwork mixes a lifelike face with decorative shapes: rows of tiny white dots follow the red lines, touches of pink and gold color the eyelids, and the stripes curl into ribbons around the neck and shoulders. In the wild, a white coat is a rare color variation seen in Bengal tigers, a story told in our article What Color Is The Tiger?. Calmer designs, from painted faces to photographs, share the sofa in our tiger cushion cover collection.

Size and fabric

The cover is square and measures 45x45cm. It is made of linen, which gives the beige background its slightly rough, natural texture. It is sold as a cover on its own, without the inner cushion.
