A tiger with a pale face walks with its head lowered on this small figurine. Its back and flanks are orange with thick black stripes, while the face, the chest, the belly and the lower legs are white, which gives it a lighter look than most tiger figures. Green eyes, a pink nose and black markings around the muzzle complete the head, and a long pale tail hangs behind.
A tiger that fits in the palm
The figurine is small enough to sit in the palm of an adult hand, as the third photo shows, which makes it easy for small hands to hold during play. The sculpting picks out the ridges of the fur along the back and the separate toes of each paw, and the second photo shows the figure from behind, with the stripes carried down the hind legs. The saber tooth cats of prehistory were a different animal altogether, as our article what is a saber tooth tiger explains. More big cats wait in our tiger figurine collection.
Size and material
The figurine measures 11x5.4cm and is made of PVC, a solid plastic with smooth surfaces.
