A spotted big cat peers out from a thicket of tropical leaves on this cushion cover, with only its eyes, brow and ears showing above the greenery. Its golden coat is covered in dark rosettes, its eyes are a pale green, and palm fronds, broad monstera leaves and pink flowers frame the face, with splashes of green paint scattered across a natural beige background.
A hidden cat among the leaves
The painting plays on how hard a big cat is to spot in the forest: the rosettes on its fur melt into the shadows of the foliage, and only the stare gives it away. Its loose watercolor style brings bright greens and touches of coral to a sofa or a reading chair. The cat shown here wears spots rather than stripes, and the striped designs are gathered in our tiger cushion cover collection.
Size and fabric
The cover measures 45x45cm and is made of a linen and cotton blend, with a fine woven texture that shows through the light areas of the print.
