Eye of the Tiger Phone Case

A collage of tiger close-ups covers this phone case, the pieces cut and fitted together with straight edges. Across the top, a pale eye stares out from orange and white fur; down the left side, the mouth is open in a roar, pink tongue and white fangs on show. A large block in cool blue tones fills the lower right, where another view of the face shows an eye, stripes and long white whiskers.

Warm and cold in one picture

The design plays on contrast. The roaring side keeps the natural colors of the tiger, warm orange and pink, while the inset block turns the same kind of fur into deep blue and cream, as if seen under another light. The straight edges between the blocks give the picture a graphic, layered look, quite different from a single portrait. An eye appears in both pieces, which fits the name.
