The head turns slightly to one side, one pale eye looking out from dense stripes, and the lower part of the drawing breaks into splashes and long drips that run down past the pocket toward the hem, as if the painting were still wet.

The artwork is printed in black and soft greys only, so it stands out sharply against the plain white fabric. It covers the chest and the belly, while the sleeves and the back stay clean and white.
