Parchment Japanese Tiger Phone Case

On a pale parchment background, a striped tiger walks away across open ground and turns its head back over its shoulder, mouth open on a low snarl. A gnarled pine branch hangs in from the top corner, and dry grasses and a jagged rock fill the lower left in soft gray ink.

A tiger in the scroll painting style

The picture follows the manner of old East Asian scroll paintings: fine brushwork for every hair of the coat, dark stripes on a warm gold ground, and wide empty space left around the animal. The long ringed tail curls down toward the bottom edge and balances the turning head. Tigers paired with pine trees are a classic theme of Japanese and Chinese painting, and this design keeps that quiet, airy feel. Other painted and photographic designs fill our tiger phone case collection.
