Yellow eyes narrowed and jaws wide open, this tiger face fills a large embroidered patch from ear to chin. The forehead is stitched in dark brown and black with golden yellow stripes above a white muzzle, four white fangs frame a red tongue, and a thick ruff of white and grey fur spreads out on both sides before a black border closes the outline.
A big face for a jacket back
At this size the patch covers a good part of a jacket back, a denim vest or a bag, where the dense thread work of the fur and the bright red mouth stay readable from a distance. The shaped edge follows the outline of the head and the ruff rather than a circle or a square, so the face sits on the fabric like a cut-out. The patch is listed at 24.5x20cm. It is embroidered on a backing that fixes to clothing with an iron, so no sewing is needed to put it in place.
