A tigress rests on her side in this figurine, front paws stretched out and head raised to watch over three cubs gathered at her chest. One cub lifts its head with its mouth open while the other two snuggle close together, and all four share the same orange coat with dark stripes and white markings around the face.
A mother and her cubs
The mother's face is painted with care: amber eyes, a pink nose, white cheeks and dark lines running back from the eyes. Her tail curls round behind her and ends in a dark tip. The cubs are separate pieces, so they can be grouped against her body or spread out in front of her, as the two photos show. In the wild, tiger cubs stay with their mother until they are about two years old, learning to hunt at her side. The scene sits well on a shelf, and it also joins other animal figures at play. More tigers in different poses fill our tiger figurine collection.
Size and material
The set includes the tigress and three cubs. Its listed size is 13x5.5x8cm. The figures are made of PVC plastic with smooth surfaces.
