Washes of blue give this tiger head its color. Turned in three-quarter view toward the left, the tiger has white fur around the mouth, a pale gray-blue eye and long black whiskers, and quick black brush strokes mark the stripes and the ruff of fur below the cheek.
A blue coat for the Maltese tiger
The Maltese tiger is the name given to blue-gray tigers reported in southern China, mostly around Fujian province, in the early twentieth century. No photograph or specimen has ever confirmed them, and the animal remains a mystery. This design gives that rumored coat a painter's treatment, with a lighter blue halo behind the head and darker blue across the brow and the nose. More designs in black ink and full color fill our tiger temporary tattoo collection.
Size and application
The sheet measures 15x21 cm, and the tattoo is applied with a moistened sponge. The ingredient list names an acrylates copolymer, propylene glycol, petrolatum, linseed and soybean oils, mineral oil, iron oxides, titanium dioxide and several color pigments.
