Mythological Mens Silver Tiger Ring

A small tiger face looks out from the middle of this wide silver band, ears pricked and fangs just showing, framed by sweeping engraved plumes that run all the way around the ring. Between the feathers, crosshatched panels and scrolls are darkened so the pattern stands out, and both edges are finished with a fine braided rim.

A tiger among mythical plumes

The carving draws on old ornamental engraving: curling plumes, swirls and fine crosshatching that surround the tiger the way a crest surrounds a coat of arms. The face is cast in relief, so it catches the light from the side, while the inside of the band stays smooth and rounded. Silver, weight and sizes
