Saber Tooth Tiger Skull Ring

A saber-toothed cat skull crowns this ring, its long upper fangs reaching down past the lower jaw. The broad dome of the skull is polished to a bright shine, while the eye sockets and the nasal opening are left dark and hollow. Bony paws wrap the band on both sides, the toe bones curling forward as if the skeleton were holding on to the finger.

The saber-toothed cat

Despite its popular name, the saber-toothed cat known as Smilodon was not a tiger, nor its ancestor. It belonged to a separate branch of the cat family that died out at the end of the last Ice Age. Its long, flattened upper canines are the feature this ring plays up, curving down beside a short row of lower teeth. A faint line of engraved script runs along the top of the skull, and the dark finish in every hollow brings out the shape of the bones. Material, weight and sizes
