Eyes closed and head tipped to one side, a tiger dozes in a pool of soft light on this case. The black and white photograph picks out the stripes on its cheek and shoulder, while the rest of the body slips away into a deep black background.
A tiger at rest
Where most tiger portraits show a hard stare, this one catches the animal off guard, chin sunk into the thick fur of its ruff and whiskers relaxed. Tigers spend a large part of the day resting between hunts, and the picture captures one of those quiet hours. The black background fills most of the back, so the lit face stands out from the upper half down to the striped flank. Wide-awake tigers fill the rest of our tiger phone case collection.
