Hunting Tiger Painting

Riders in wide-brimmed hats close in on a big cat in the snow across the five panels of this canvas. At the center the animal prowls low through the snow with its head down and its mouth open, while horsemen come from both sides, one in a long pale coat, another in a red shirt, and one rider on the right holds a rifle up against a dark, stormy sky. Red rock cliffs and snow-laden pines rise behind them.

A Western hunting scene

The painting has the look of classic Western art, with horses in mid-step, cold blue light on the snow and the tension of the chase held in a single moment. Despite the product's name, the cat at the heart of the scene has the plain, sand-colored coat of a cougar rather than the stripes of a tiger. Split into five canvases of stepped heights, the scene spreads wide over a wall in a living room, a study or a cabin. Striped tigers fill the rest of our tiger canvas collection.
