On the brushed gunmetal plate of this buckle, a snarling tiger head stands out in relief, fangs bared and fur swept back, with the word TIGERS raised along the side of the frame. The strap is a camouflage canvas webbing in patches of olive and dark green.
A sliding buckle with no holes
The buckle grips the webbing with a sliding clamp, so the belt closes at any point along its length instead of at a row of holes. The buckle can be removed, and the strap can be shortened: the photos show the clamp pried open, the webbing cut to length, the cut end sealed with a flame and the buckle pressed back on. The buckle is zinc alloy and measures 4 x 6.5cm. Six lengths are offered: 110cm (43.31in), 120cm (47.24in), 130cm (51.18in), 140cm (55.12in), 150cm (59.06in) and 160cm (62.99in).
