Each of these earrings is a tiger head cut in openwork metal. Its outline is drawn in curving bands, from the rounded ears and the brow down to the muzzle and the ruff of the cheeks, and every band is dotted with a hammered texture that catches the light. The head drops from a small square stud, itself cut with a scroll motif.
Large, light statement earrings
At 6.5x10.5cm the earrings are big enough to read clearly from across a room, yet the open lacework keeps them light, at about 12g each. The gold tone gives the hammered surface a warm glow, while the silver tone looks brighter and cooler, with the same tiger face on both.
