A silver-tone beast head guards the front of this tiger eye bracelet, with tall pointed ears, a long muzzle and fur swept back in flame-like curls. It is mounted on a silver-tone barrel worked in openwork scrolls, while round beads in honey, chestnut and deep brown complete the strand. In the photo it is stacked with a second tiger eye strand spaced with small engraved silver-tone rondelles.
A guardian head on golden-brown beads
In shape the head is closer to a wolf than to a tiger, with its narrow snout and upright ears, which gives the piece a dark, mythical character. Polished tiger eye shows bands of golden light that shift as the beads roll. Many traditions have carried the stone as a protective charm, believed to turn away negative energy, and that belief gives this bracelet its protective name.
