Living Legend Tiger Painting

The face of a tiger fills this black and white portrait from the ears down to the chest, looking straight out with pale, steady eyes. Every whisker, the dark lines around the eyes and the thick white ruff under the chin are picked out in sharp gray tones.

A frontal portrait without color

With the orange taken away, the picture relies on the pattern of the stripes alone, and the symmetry of the face comes forward: the markings on the forehead and cheeks mirror each other on both sides of the nose. The photographic detail and the direct gaze give the tiger a strong presence in a hallway, an office or above a desk, and the neutral tones sit easily with modern decor. More portraits, in color and in gray, are in our tiger canvas collection.
