Head to tail, two tigers circle each other on top of this steel ring, their striped bodies forming an open frame with a gap in the middle. Their curled tails loop up at each end, and the fur is darkened in the grooves so every stripe and paw stands out against the polished steel.
A duel of two tigers
Seen from the side, the two animals crouch along the top of the band as if about to spring, each facing the other's tail. The wide shoulders are smooth and polished, and each carries a round medallion engraved with a curling swirl. The scene of two rivals sharing one ring sets it apart from the single heads in our tiger ring collection, and our list of the top 10 tiger rings shows how varied the designs can be.
