Tiger Phone Case Rabid Beast
$9.90 USD
🚚 Estimated delivery: 4 November - 8 November
Painted in the manner of a traditional East Asian ink and wash scroll, this design shows a tiger bounding up a misty slope, its body turned away and its head twisted back over the shoulder in an open-mouthed roar. Gray brushwork foliage, a rocky cliff and a thin waterfall frame it on a pale, paper-colored ground.
A roaring tiger in ink and wash
The tiger is the only warm color in the picture: its orange-brown coat and its long tail, banded in black and white, stand out against soft grays and deep blacks. The leaves are laid down in loose washes, while the fur and the stripes are drawn with finer strokes. Tigers have long been a favorite subject of brush painting in China, Korea and Japan, often set in mountain landscapes like this one, where the animal stands for strength and courage.
