Tiger Sanctuary Puzzle: Chinese Demon
$59.90 USD
🚚 Estimated delivery: 23 October - 27 October
A tiger crouches on a dark cliff above a waterfall in this painted scene, snarling down at a dragon that rises out of the mist below. The tiger's coat glows orange and cream against the grey rock, its claws gripping the ledge, while the dragon's scaly body, long whiskers and curved talons twist through the shadows toward it.
The tiger and the dragon
The puzzle is sold as Chinese Demon, and the creature in the picture is a Chinese-style dragon. Tiger and dragon facing each other is an old theme of East Asian painting, where tradition pairs them as opposing forces. The ink-wash style, with its soft greys and fine brushwork on the fur and scales, makes this a demanding build, with large dark areas that reward patience. For more scenes, see our tiger puzzle collection.
Size and pieces
The puzzle has 1000 wooden pieces, each 2mm thick, and measures 50 x 75cm once finished. The box shown in the photos is a pink one marked Wood Jigsaw Puzzle, with a heart made of puzzle pieces on the lid.
