Tiger Spirit Tattoo

A whole small world is stacked inside this tattoo. A tiger head looks out at the top against a sweep of teal sky with a crescent moon, rays of rust-colored leaves fan out behind it, and a cluster of cream flowers opens below its chin. Among the petals a single tiger's eye stares out, and at the bottom a smaller tiger walks forward on a pool of turquoise.

A layered tiger in an illustrated style

The drawing uses crisp ink lines filled with muted orange, cream and teal, closer to a book illustration than to a painting. Small details reward a closer look: little clouds, a sprig of leaves on the left, and tiny butterflies around the flowers. The eye hidden in the bouquet ties the pieces together, as if the spirit of the large tiger watched over the smaller one walking out of it. More illustrated and realistic designs are gathered in our tiger temporary tattoo collection.
