Chinese Tiger Cushion Cover
$11.90 USD
🚚 Estimated delivery: 30 October - 3 November
A brown tiger creeps headfirst down a black panel on this cushion cover, its tail curling up toward the top edge in a loose spiral. Bulging eyes under green tufted brows and a wide grin full of teeth give it the mischievous look of the tigers in old East Asian folk painting.
A folk-art tiger framed in beige
The tiger is drawn with a fine cream outline, its coat a warm brown crossed with dark wavy stripes, and its claws spread on each paw as it descends. Two wide beige side bands with a woven, linen-like texture frame the black center, which gives the cover the proportions of a hanging scroll. In Chinese tradition the tiger is the guardian of the West, and our article on the place of the tiger in feng shui explains how that belief carries into home decor. More designs fill our tiger cushion cover collection.
Size and fabric
The cover measures 45x45cm and is made of a linen and cotton blend, with the design printed in high definition.
