Painting Tiger of the Remote Steppes (DIY)

Under a sky of gold and slate clouds, a tiger lies stretched out in dark grass, its head turned to the left as if watching the last light over the plain. The low sun warms the white fur of its chest and cheeks, and its ringed tail runs out behind it along the ground.

A paint by numbers scene

The picture is painted by hand from a kit. The canvas carries the outline of the whole scene, with each small area marked by a number that matches a pot of paint, so the clouds, the stripes and the grass are filled in one color at a time. The flat areas of color give the finished painting a soft, graphic look. Contents, sizes and framing

The kit includes the numbered canvas, a set of numbered paint pots and 3 brushes, along with two small hooks and screws for hanging. Three sizes are offered: 40x50cm, 50x65cm and 60x75cm. The No Frame version leaves the canvas loose, and the Framed version adds a wooden stretcher frame that the canvas is pinned onto. The canva painting size chart shows each size.
