Cut entirely in openwork, the tiger head on this necklace has a face built from small geometric shapes like a stained glass window without the glass. Two rounded eye shapes with tiny dots sit above a triangular nose, the cheeks open out in angular panels, and two short ears rise at the top.

The pendant is fixed to the chain by a ring at each ear, so it lies flat and level at the base of the neck instead of turning on a single loop. The openwork keeps it light, at 5.5g, and lets the skin or the fabric show through the design. The chain is a fine link chain in the same tone as the pendant.
