The tiger on this golden pendant looks out with a calm, steady face, its eyes half lowered under a forehead lined with stripes. A ruff of fur frames the head, the small pointed ears are hollowed in black, and the long nose is polished smooth, while the grooves of the stripes are darkened so the features stand out against the gold tone.
A quiet tiger in gold tone
Many tiger pendants show the jaws open; this one keeps its mouth closed and its expression at rest, which gives the piece a softer character. It hangs from a bail shaped like a flame or a leaf that rises above the head and threads onto a fine gold-tone chain.
