Gold-tone scrolls on a dark ground
Both shoulders carry raised gold-tone scrollwork, curling leaves set against a blackened background and framed by a polished silver edge. Inside the ring, the back of the head is cut into an openwork pattern of silver scrolls, a detail that shows only when the ring is off the hand.
