A white tiger cub looks out from under a clear dome on this pendant, its pale fur faintly striped, its eyes a soft blue and its nose pink. The round picture hangs inside a silver-tone crescent moon whose band is worked in open, curling filigree.
A cub inside the moon
The disc is not fixed to the moon: it hangs from the same bail, so it can turn slightly and sit in the hollow of the crescent. The pairing of a night sky symbol with a pale cub gives the piece a quiet, dreamy feel. Size and materials
The pendant measures 3.7 x 3cm, the round picture filling most of the hollow of the crescent. It is made of pewter alloy and comes on a 45cm silver-tone chain that closes with a lobster clasp.
