A roaring tiger, pictured with amber eyes and an open red mouth against a pale background, fills a small round dome that hangs inside a crescent moon. The moon itself is open filigree, worked with swirling scrolls along its whole curve, and the two pieces hang together from one bail so the tiger sits in the hollow of the crescent.
The tiger and the moon
The combination is the heart of this piece: the warm colors of the tiger stand out against the silver-tone lace of the moon, and the round cabochon catches the light under its glossy dome. The tiger also has a place in the Chinese calendar, as the third of its twelve animals, a story told in what year is the tiger in Chinese zodiac. More designs hang in our tiger pendant collection.

The pendant measures 3.7x3cm. It is made of a silver-tone pewter alloy and comes on a 45cm chain with a lobster clasp.
